The platform Sri Lankan CAs use to file individual returns at scale.
Stop chasing documents over WhatsApp. Stop re-typing payslips. Send your client a link, review their file, lodge to IRD — all from one dashboard. Run it in our cloud, or inside your own firm.
We're a tool, not a competitor.
LankanTax exists to do the parts of your work that don’t pay you well — document chasing, data entry, client follow-ups — so you can focus on what does: judgement, advisory, and the relationships that bring clients back next year.
We never lodge a return without a CA.
Every individual return on the platform passes through a qualified accountant. The software does the typing. You do the thinking. We don’t bypass you, and we don’t sell direct-to-IRD lodgement to individuals.
We never compete with you for clients.
Your clients are your clients. We don’t market filing services to them outside the workflow you’ve invited them into. Your firm name, your brand, your fee — front and centre.
We never share your client data.
Client information stays within your firm’s workspace. We don’t sell it, we don’t analyse it for ads, and we don’t use it to train AI models. Sri Lanka’s PDPA — and our reputation — depend on this. And if even that’s not enough — run LankanTax inside your own firm’s infrastructure.
You know exactly how this part of the year goes.
The document chase.
Twenty WhatsApp threads. "Hi sir, did you get my payslip?" Half your team's August is admin, not advisory.
The same data, typed three times.
Once into Excel. Once into your working file. Once into the IRD portal. One typo and the return bounces.
The client who shows up September 28th.
With a shoebox of receipts and an FD certificate from a bank you've never heard of.
The portal that times out at 11pm.
You've planned your evening around lodging six returns. The IRD portal has other ideas.
Follow-ups that never end.
Every clarification means another WhatsApp, another delay, another late return.
None of it pays well.
None of this is the work that makes your practice valuable. All of it eats your filing season.
From client invite to IRD lodgement in four steps.
You invite the client
Add their name, mobile, and email. They get a secure SMS and email link. No app to download.
They fill and upload
Income, payslips, FD certs, rentals — on their phone, in 15 minutes, in Sinhala or English. While you do other work.
You review & approve
Everything lands in your dashboard, structured. Edit any field, add notes, flag missing docs. Sign off.
Auto-lodge to IRD
Open the IRD portal, click the LankanTax extension, watch every field fill. No copy-paste. No typos.

We’re taking on 10 Sri Lankan CA firms as Founding Partners for the September 2026 filing season. This is not a discount program. It’s a working partnership.
What you get
- 10 free submissions during September 2026 — full platform, no card on file

What CAs ask before they sign up.
Most of your clients already send payslips over WhatsApp and wait days for replies. We replace that with a 15-minute guided form on their phone, in Sinhala or English. The clients who hate technology will still call you — that's fine. The 80% who'd rather do it themselves will, and you get back hours of August.
We update the integration within 48 hours. That's our job, not yours. If a portal change blocks lodgement during filing season, you can lodge manually as a fallback — and we credit you back any submissions affected.
Yes. Client data lives in your firm's workspace, encrypted at rest and in transit. We don't share it, sell it, or train AI on it. We're compliant with Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act.
Yes — on the Sovereign tier. We deploy LankanTax inside your firm's infrastructure (on-premise or your private cloud), so client data never leaves your office. We handle installation, security hardening, patching, and version updates as a managed service. It's the right fit for firms with strict data-residency requirements or clients who insist on it — not for firms running 10 returns a year.
On Starter and above, yes. Your firm name, logo, and colours appear on the client-facing invitation emails and forms. Solo uses LankanTax branding to keep the price low.
Upload scans on their behalf, or have them email/WhatsApp documents to your office and your team uploads. The platform doesn't force clients online — it just makes "online" an option that 80% of them will prefer.
No. Every individual return on LankanTax is reviewed and lodged by a qualified CA. We don't sell direct-to-IRD lodgement to individuals. The platform doesn't work without you.
One individual income tax return successfully lodged to IRD. Drafts, abandoned returns, and amendments to returns already lodged this season don't count toward your limit.
Yes. The difference is prorated. If you blow past your Solo limit in August, we'll move you to Starter and only charge the difference for the remaining months.
Unused filings don't roll over to the next year. Annual plans reset on your renewal date.
Founding Partners get visibility into 2027 pricing before public announcement, and we won't increase your rate without 90 days' notice. For everyone else, pricing reviews happen each March.
Two paths. If you want to commit: apply to the Founding Partner program (4 minutes). If you want to see it first: book a 20-minute walkthrough with the founder. Either way, you'll have answers within 48 hours.
September is closer than it looks.
The 2026 filing season runs August through September. To onboard your firm, train your team, and invite your first clients, we need to start in May. Founding Partner spots close as they fill — we cap the cohort at 10.
